CosyMatch is a free match-3 game with no sign-up. It keeps as little about you as it can to save your progress and run the leaderboard. Ads pay for it, and those come from Google, who may use cookies (see below).

What the game keeps

The first time you play, the game makes you an anonymous player: a random id and a secret, kept in your browser and sent with each request so our server knows it's you. On our server we keep:

To check a score, your browser sends the moves you made; the server plays them back and then throws them away. We never ask for your email address, real name or location.

Your secret is also your recovery code (in Settings). Anyone who has it can play as you, so keep it to yourself.

What stays in your browser

The game itself uses no cookies. It keeps a few things in your browser's local storage: your player id and secret, your music and sound settings, the level you were on, which parts of the tutorial you've seen, and whether you've put off choosing a name. Clearing this site's data removes them; use your recovery code to get your progress back.

Advertising

CosyMatch shows ads from Google AdSense. Google and its partners use cookies to show ads based on your visits to this and other websites. Where the law requires it, you are asked to agree first, and you can change your mind later.

Other services the page uses

We don't sell your information or share it with anyone else.

How long we keep it

A player with no name and no levels played is deleted after 30 days. Otherwise we keep your progress for as long as the game runs, unless you ask us to delete it.

Children

CosyMatch is made for everyone. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. A child's player is as anonymous as anyone's, but please don't give it a name that identifies them.

Your choices, and how to reach us

You can ask to see, correct or delete what we keep about you. Email hello@cosymatch.com with your recovery code, so we know which player is yours. If you're unhappy with how we handle your information, you can also complain to your local data protection authority.

If this policy changes, the new version will be on this page with a new date at the top.
